Article: CBD, a true well-being ally

Découvrir les potentielles vertus du CBD. Le CBD extrait de la plante de chanvre est une molécule naturelle qui se révèle très efficace pour la gestion du stress

CBD, a true well-being ally

Increasingly popular in France, CBD (or cannabidiol) is a
natural molecule, derived from the hemp plant (or cannabis), which would possess
real health benefits.

What is CBD?

CBD (or cannabidiol) is a molecule coming from the plant of
hemp, also called cannabis. It is the second cannabinoid
most studied after THC (tetrahydrocannabinol), the main molecule
active cannabis.

CBD and THC therefore belong to the same family of cannabinoids, but act differently on the human body.

THC is highly sought after by consumers for its psychotropic or “high” effects, while CBD is more appreciated for its therapeutic virtues. The latter in no way constitutes a recreational or harmful substance.

Not causing psychoactive effects, CBD is not considered a narcotic and is not dangerous for health. Its consumption is therefore legal in France. Indeed, cannabidiol benefits from the legislation applicable to hemp, the THC level of which remains below 0.3%.

By acting on the body's endocannabinoid system, CBD is a natural and effective remedy to promote mental and physical well-being. Indeed, it would help relieve sleep disorders, emotional stress and anxiety, inflammation and even physical discomfort.

Does CBD promote well-being?

Does CBD help you relax?

Numerous scientific studies demonstrate that CBD (or cannabidiol) has beneficial health properties. Be careful though, CBD is a molecule that has only recently been studied, for the moment none of the studies carried out on this molecule have been recognized by the French authorities, CBD cannot therefore officially make any therapeutic claims.

CBD is said to have an action on the endocannabinoid system, particularly on the CB1 and CB2 cannabinoid receptors, which play an essential role in maintaining mental health and emotional well-being [1] .

By acting on these receptors, cannabidiol provides a regulatory effect on the immune system , thus boosting it to combat various external attacks more effectively.

CBD would help reduce stress and anxiety

Thanks to its anxiolytic effects, CBD helps fight against emotional stress and anxiety in general [2] by promoting rest and relaxation.

By acting on CB1 and CB2 receptors, cannabidiol promotes the production of endocannabinoids, having the natural effect of improving the circulation of anandamide, an endogenous cannabinoid neurotransmitter. In the human body, the latter plays an essential role in managing stress and anxiety.

Cannabidiol from hemp would thus reduce the symptoms of stress and anxiety such as fatigue, irritability, the feeling of a “knot” in the stomach or chest tightness.

CBD is a natural molecule, extracted from the cannabis or hemp plant. CBD is completely legal. This natural product is very effective in combating all forms of stress and anxiety.

CBD promotes falling asleep and better quality sleep

By facilitating rest and relaxation [3] , CBD helps promote rapid falling asleep and better quality sleep.

To benefit from its soothing effects, it should be consumed approximately 30 minutes before going to bed.

CBD could relieve pain and inflammation

Possessing anti-inflammatory and analgesic properties, CBD relieves inflammation as well as muscle and joint pain.

Indeed, the endocannabinoid system also plays an important role in the control of inflammation and the autoimmune response [4] . The relaxing action of CBD would therefore make it easier to tolerate pain.

CBD would have an effect on mood

Thanks to its relaxing action on emotional stress, anxiety, sleep or even pain, CBD would naturally improve mood and better manage emotions .

CBD would thus represent a real well-being ally to relieve various everyday ailments and take care of yourself naturally.

How to take CBD?

One of the other benefits of CBD, therapeutically, is that this molecule can be taken in different ways. Depending on individual preferences and needs, cannabidiol can be consumed orally or sublingually, by inhalation or by skin application.

The most common form to consume CBD is CBD oil . To feel the effects very quickly, simply place a few drops of oil under the tongue. Or, they can be added to a drink (coffee, tea, infusion, etc.) or applied to the skin.

It is also possible to consume CBD in the form of capsules, chewing gum, candies, gummies, infusions, cosmetic products for the body and face (balm, treatment, cream, gel, etc.) or even e-liquids.

What dosage of CBD to choose?

How to choose your CBD oil dosage? It is important to properly dose CBD from cannabis in order to get the most out of its benefits. CBD is a 100% natural product which will have a direct and immediate impact on stress management and pain reduction.

There is no ideal dosage of CBD (cannabidiol) because each organism reacts differently.

People who have never used CBD should start with a small amount to observe their reaction and tolerance to the product. After a few weeks, they can increase or decrease the dosage of CBD depending on their desired effects.

There is currently no mention of any risk of overdose linked to CBD, however, we advise you not to exceed 50mg per day.

In order to determine an overall dosage, we offer you our CBD calculator . It allows you to calculate, based on your body size and the benefits sought, the quantity of CBD oil to consume.
