In December 2017, the World Health Organization officially recommended that CBD not be classified as a controlled substance.

In January 2018, the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) removed CBD from the list of products prohibited in sports competitions.

Clinical study conducted by a scientific committee in 2019 “Cannabidiol in Anxiety and Sleep: A Large Case
Series”: this clinical study was conducted on 72 patients suffering from anxiety and sleep disorders. In addition to their medical treatment, they consumed CBD over a given period. During the first month of the study, anxiety scores decreased in 57 patients (79.2%) and remained reduced throughout the study. Sleep scores showed improvement in 48 patients (66.7%) during the first month and improved favorably thereafter. Cannabidiol could therefore be beneficial in combating anxiety and sleep problems.

Clinical study conducted by a scientific committee in 2012 “Cannabis, a complex plant: different compounds and different effects on individuals”: this second clinical study highlights the different effects of the two main molecules of the hemp plant: CBD and THC . These two cannabinoids would have similar effects in certain areas, but also almost opposite effects. Unlike THC, CBD does not cause psychotropic effects likely to modify the consumer's state of consciousness and behavior.
The study indicates that CBD has anticonvulsant, anxiolytic, anti-inflammatory, immunomodulatory and antipsychotic effects.
