CBD
Do you know CBD? Coming from the hemp plant (or cannabis sativa), CBD is a natural molecule increasingly popular in France for its very interesting therapeutic virtues.
WHAT IS CBD?
Cannabidiol, better known as “CBD”, is a molecule extracted from the hemp plant, also called cannabis.
Hemp or cannabis (sometimes called industrial hemp, or agricultural hemp, or textile hemp) is one of the first plants domesticated by humans since the Neolithic. Originally from Asia, it is used for making textiles, ropes, oils but also for its medicinal properties.
CBD is the second most studied cannabinoid after THC (tetrahydrocannabinol), the main active molecule in cannabis.
In recent years, the CBD (cannabidiol) market in France has experienced strong growth. Due to the fact that it is not psychotropic, a large number of consumers have been seduced by the virtues of CBD.
What is the difference between CBD and THC?
Cannabidiol (CBD) and tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) are the two best-known active substances in hemp (or cannabis sativa) and therefore belong to the same cannabinoid family. However, they act differently on the body.
THC is the so-called “psychoactive” component of cannabis, very
sought after by consumers for its psychoactive or “high” effects, which can lead to addiction. THC acts instantly on the nervous system, affects brain function and can change perceptions, mood and behavior.
CBD, for its part, is preferred for its potential therapeutic virtues. It does not modify the state of consciousness and does not impact consumer behavior.
Unlike THC, CBD is in no way a recreational or harmful substance. By consuming CBD products, there is no risk of addiction or experiencing hallucinations, a feeling of drunkenness or even a
feeling of euphoria that can be brought on by THC.
How does CBD act on the body?
CBD acts on the endocannabinoid system. The endocannabinoid system (or ECS) is a vast network of receptors that we all have, it is a system of CB1 and CB2 cannabinoid membrane receptors, endogenous ligands called endocannabinoids as well as enzymes (proteins that activate or accelerate a chemical reaction ) responsible for the synthesis and degradation of these molecules.
The endocannabinoid system (ECS) therefore plays roles far too numerous to list. We can in particular highlight its role in neuronal plasticity, the control of emotions, the control of appetite and lipogenesis but also in the functioning of the cardiovascular system as well as (formation of fat cells). It takes part in the management of stress responses at the hormonal level (secretion of adrenaline and corticosterone) and in the control of inflammation and the activity of immune cells. It is thanks to this system that the active ingredients of CBD bind to the body and allow you to feel all of its beneficial effects.
OUR CBD PRODUCTS
Is CBD legal in France?
Yes, CBD is completely legal in France.
In its judgment dated November 19, 2020, the Court
of Justice of the European Union has ruled that CBD (cannabidiol) does not constitute a narcotic product, and can therefore be sold and transported throughout the European continent, including France.
However, a new ministerial decree, published on December 30, 2021, requires that all CBD products must have a THC content of less than 0.3%. Failing this, they come under the criminal policy of combating narcotics.
Is CBD dangerous for your health?
The WHO (World Health Organization) has declared that CBD (cannabidiol) is not harmful to health.
Not causing psychoactive effects unlike THC (the main active molecule of cannabis), CBD is not considered a narcotic and is not dangerous for health.
Furthermore, according to the World Anti-Doping Agency, CBD is not considered a doping substance. On January 1, 2018, it was removed from the list of performance-enhancing products.
Thus, the consumption of CBD does not cause side effects or addiction.
How to consume CBD?
To benefit from its potential benefits, CBD (cannabidiol) can be consumed in several forms. Certain CBD-based products can be ingested such as capsules, candies , certain food products (chocolate, honey, tea, etc.), or be inhaled with e-liquids.
The most used forms are CBD flowers, preferably consumed as an infusion (although many consumers use them to replace the tobacco in their cigarettes), as well as CBD oil to be used sublingually or to be incorporated into a dish or a drink.
There are also CBD-based cosmetic products that can be applied to the skin such as creams, lotions, balms and even ointments.
There is no ideal form for consuming CBD; it is up to everyone to choose the product best suited to their desires and needs.

CBD oil is a combination of vegetable oil and CBD extract. The latter comes from hemp plants (cannabis sativa).
The product comes in the form of a small bottle accompanied by its dropper pipette.
Its use is simple: it consists of placing the drops directly under the tongue to benefit from its relaxing effects. In France, CBD oils can be found online, in pharmacies and specialized stores.
CBD oil is a product highly appreciated by cannabidiol consumers. They use it to boost their well-being and relieve their ailments. CBD oil could indeed be useful for promoting relaxation, improving sleep, contributing to joint comfort and other benefits.
CBD oil is the product of choice to feel the effects of cannabidiol quickly. Equipped with its dropper pipette, it is easy to consume and can be carried anywhere with you. This product is available in several cannabidiol concentrations and, in addition to containing CBD, may contain other phyto cannabinoids.
CBD oil should be administered sublingually (under the tongue) leaving the product to act for 1 minute before swallowing. This method of administration allows the active compounds of CBD to be rapidly absorbed by the lingual mucous membranes and diffuse into the bloodstream.
Full spectrum CBD oil and broad spectrum CBD oil differ in their extraction method.
Full spectrum CBD oil is completely extracted from the hemp plant (flowers, leaves, stems, seeds, etc.). This extraction method makes it possible to obtain a
blend rich in various cannabinoids, terpenes and flavonoids. These act in synergy to reinforce the desired effect. In this extraction, it
It is possible to find traces of THC.
Broad spectrum CBD oil is similar because during the extraction process, all the components of the hemp are extracted. However, unlike full spectrum CBD oil, the THC is removed.
The ideal is to choose organic and natural CBD oil. This product is of better quality because it contains cannabidiol extract from organic hemp plants.
Cannabidiol, contained in traditional CBD oils, is extracted from hemp plants grown with chemical fertilizers, pesticides and GMOs. These chemicals are harmful for human use. CBD oils containing chemical toxins are more likely to cause allergic reactions and other side effects.
These CBD oils are also less effective than organic and natural CBD oils. CBD comes from organic hemp cultivation without synthetic chemical additives. Cannabidiol is of better quality and retains all its properties.
CBD and THC come from the hemp plant (cannabis sativa), however, they differ in many aspects. In fact, these two cannabinoids do not act in the same way on the body. CBD does not get you high, it does not affect behavior and the mind. Conversely, THC causes a psychotropic effect which modifies the state of consciousness and can generate a form of addiction. In addition, CBD is legal in France unlike THC.
Some CBD oils may contain traces of THC.
However, the law limits its concentration to 0.2%, a threshold below which its effects are not perceptible by cannabidiol consumers. Concentration
Average cannabis flower is around 15%, although some varieties can reach up to 30%.
Our CBD stress, sleep and pain oils are broad spectrum oils, meaning they are guaranteed THC-free. Our Period Care 1000mg oil is a full spectrum oil. It contains less than 0.02% THC.
CBD oil is easy and convenient to consume. Thanks to its dropper pipette, it is possible to easily measure the quantity of CBD oil to consume.
To determine your ideal dosage of CBD oil, we offer a CBD calculator . It calculates, depending on the weight and intensity of the desired effects, the number of drops of oil to consume.
Very often, CBD oil is consumed sublingually. This method involves placing the product under the tongue. This is the most effective way to feel the effects of cannabidiol. The mouth is a place enriched with blood vessels; by depositing the molecule there, it spreads quickly in the bloodstream and the receptors of the endocannabinoid system.
If the bitterness of CBD is bothersome, it is possible to place the drops of CBD oil in a drink (tea, coffee, fruit juice, etc.), a dish or a culinary preparation. However, the relaxing effect of cannabidiol is felt less quickly.
Aside from a slight feeling of dry mouth that may occur after consuming a large amount of CBD oil, no notable side effects have been observed.
However, some people may be more sensitive to cannabidiol and experience certain discomforts (increased drowsiness for example). For a first use, it is therefore recommended to start by consuming a few drops of CBD oil to observe your tolerance to the product.
People under medical treatment, as well as women
pregnant or breastfeeding, it is recommended to speak with a health professional before consuming CBD-based products. Indeed, cannabidiol can interact and interfere with certain drug treatments.
Délicure offers you high-quality, organic CBD oils at attractive prices. The vegetable oils and cannabinoids used to make the products are 100% natural.
CBD is notably extracted from an organic and French hemp plant (cannabis sativa).
Concerning the cannabidiol extraction method, Délicure chose supercritical CO2 extraction. This extraction method is
both the purest (without the use of additives or contaminants) and the
more effective because it preserves all the qualities of CBD.
