How to make your nails grow faster?

There is no secret to having beautiful, long nails; you have to protect them well and take care of them regularly.

Indeed, certain health problems and daily life factors can weaken nails such as water, dietary deficiencies, chemicals, hormonal imbalances or even stress.

You should know that the growth of nails is more or less rapid depending on their state of health and their maintenance. Thus, weakened nails always tend to break and therefore give the impression of never growing.

Unlike hair, which grows in three cycles , nail growth is permanent. However, it is slower: on average 3 to 4 mm per month for a fingernail and 1.5 mm per month for a toenail.

There are some tips to apply to maintain and encourage the growth of nails, without resorting to false nails.

Pamper your nails

Just like skin and hair, hydration is essential to maintaining healthy nails . They must therefore be treated with a cream or balm rich in amino acids and plants with moisturizing and nourishing properties. Additionally, daily massage is beneficial to increase nail growth.

You also need to take care of the cuticles. These are small skins which cover the base of the nail and which have the function of protecting it. Gently push them back with a suitable tool (steel cuticle pusher or an orange tree stick) to save a few millimeters.

Finally, to maintain a good length of nails, you must obviously avoid biting your nails. In addition to losing length, this can cause infections and the development of germs, fungi, whitlow or mycosis.

It is also recommended to apply garlic juice to the cuticles every evening for a week to promote nail regrowth.

Take care of your diet

Whether for hair, skin or even nails , a healthy and balanced diet plays a vital role in overall appearance.

For faster nail growth, you should favor whole grains because they are rich in group B vitamins.

Eggs, meats and fish are an excellent source of protein essential for nail structure.

Fruits and vegetables should be consumed as desired because they contain vitamins and trace elements essential for strengthening the nail (vitamins A, C and E; iron, zinc , selenium, etc.).

Drinking water is also essential for the shine and vitality of the nail. Per day, it is recommended to drink between 1.5L and 2L.
